Program Administration

 

Our office staff is here to offer the support and guidance you need to make the most of your AR*AS experience.  We can help you determine which sites you may interested in volunteering at, address any concerns that you have once you are placed, and everything in-between.  We are here to help, so be sure to come to us with any questions, concerns, or ideas about the program!

Daniel Doncel
Assistant Director

Daniel Doncel is an Alumnus of St. John’s University, and has been involved with the School of Education since 2005. He has worked with both the Jumpstart and America Reads*America Serves programs and is excited to continue to provide our students with excellent opportunities to grow both professionally and personally while providing our community with another level of service and commitment from our St. John’s University students.

Olivier Kercy
Student Coordinator

Olivier has worked with AR*AS since his Freshman year while working for the Undergrad School of Education.  After studying abroad in his Sophomore year, Olivier returned to work with AR*AS then transitioned to Jumpstart to be a core member in his Junior year and then team leader his Senior year. Now in his last semester, Olivier has returned to AR*AS to help new members gain as much as he can.

Jenna D'Aversa
Volunteer Coordinator

This is Jenna’s second year working with the AR*AS program as an office student worker for AR*AS.She is the volunteer coordinator who plans service trips for AR*AS. She also helps the Site Manager with organizing and managing the programs day to day operations, student documents and program policies and procedures. She hopes to continue helping the team and contributing in the growth and development of the program.
